Gdy skończyła... pojawiła się moja matka. Bez namysłu przecięła mi policzek sztyletem. Upadłam za ziemię i jęczałam z bólu.
- Bądź wredna i wyrachowana, cwana i cyniczna! Bądź fałszywa i dwulicowa, okrutna i bezlitosna! Tylko tak można zdobyć szacunek na tym zatrutym świecie! - rzuciła. - Zapomniałaś jak masz żyć? Zapomniałaś kim jesteś?!
- Mamo... - zaczęłam, z oczu leciały mi łzy, lecz gdy tylko oderwały się od twarzy spadały za ziemię jako małe kryształki lodu.
- MILCZ ROONEY!!!! JESTEŚ TAKA SAMA JAK TWÓJ OJCIEC!!!! - krzyczała. Szyby, podłoga, ściany... wszystko pokrył lód, a temperatura spadła do -100°C. Ktoś, kto nie żył w takich klimatach, no... już by nie żył. - Do końca tygodnia masz kogoś zabić inaczej... inaczej... - wysyczała. - TY zginiesz!
Rzuciła mi sztylet i zniknęła. Wtedy wszystko wróciło do normy. Lód zniknął razem z matką.
